MALKRIS MARKING SYSTEM SDN. BHD. is one of the foremost companies in Malaysia specializing in marketing and servicing marking, coding and hot-stamping equipment, consumables and accessories.

Since our inception in 1983, MALKRIS’ main objective is to establish a comprehensive marking, coding and hot-stamping solution centre. We strive to achieve this by offering a complete range of products and solutions to satisfy the most demanding needs in every industry.

Our desire to offer only the best, yet cost-effective solutions has driven us to carefully source for suitable equipment from many continents namely the USA, Europe, Australia and Asia.

MALKRIS has proudly been the sole distributor of Marsh Shipping Supply Co. (USA) products in Malaysia since 1985. Consequently, our long partnership with BV Korthofah (Holland), Sauven Marking (UK), Milford-Astor (Australia), API Foils (UK), ITW Betaprint (Spain), Squid Inks MFG (USA) and Macsa (Spain) has enabled us to provide the right solution to our existing customers.

Moreover, the addition to our business partnerships with EasyPrint (Denmark), Laservall (Italy), Zhuoli Stamping Material Co. Ltd. (China), Magnemag (Denmark) and more recently SIC (France) has moved us even closer towards our goal of becoming the one-stop centre providing marking, coding and hot-stamping solutions.

COMPANY MILESTONES

1982

Formation of Melchris Enterprise, a partnership between Capt. (Rtd.) Kung and Mr. Frankie Ooi.

1985

Incorporation of Malkris Marking System Sendirian Berhad.

1986

Mr. K.S. Liu, a computer professional, joins Malkris as Technical Director / Advisor.

1994

Malkris joins the rest of the world in promoting environment-friendly solutions by introducing laser- marking systems.

1996

Malkris expands into marketing bar- coding solutions.

1996

Malkris Marking System relocates into its own, newly renovated premises in Taman Industri Subang.

1997

Malkris begins marketing laser-marking solutions for the semiconductor industry.

1998

Mr. Christopher Kung joins Malkris as Director of Research and Development.

2001

Malkris develops towards metal marking solutions for the automotive and aeronautical as well as the tube and pipe industry.

2002

Further expansion into high-speed laser marking and thermal ribbon printing for the manufacturing sector.

2005

Further expansion into metal marking and laser marking solutions for the automotive and semiconductor industry.

2006

Mr. Michael Ooi joins the Malkris Organization as Director of Sales.

2008

Malkris begins marketing to Automotive Industries.

2010

Malkris begins marketing to Oil & Gas Industries.

2013

Malkris is awarded Top 10 International Distributor Appreciation Award by MSSC.

ACTIVITIES

Initially, our business activities were supplying industrial cleaning chemicals, and stencil marking equipment and accessories. In anticipation of the enactment of the Labeling Law (1983) and Food Act (1985), we embarked on a search for products that could meet the manufacturer’s requirements in marking their products.

During the time preceding the Act, we established contact with overseas suppliers from the USA, Europe, Australia, Japan, Korea and Taiwan to source for a wider range of marking and coding equipments, which led to our involvement in hot-foil coding and marking machines. With this, we were able to meet the requirements of many Malaysian industries in marking, coding and hot-stamping their products.

The Drug Regulation and ‘recycle’ plastic logo code further enhanced the use for our services. We realized there was a need for more professional and sophisticated marking to match the evolving demands of various industries and technology. This spurred us to heighten our pursuit for cost-effective yet appropriate solutions that is able to cater for emerging market needs and demands in various business functions.

Furthermore, encouragement from the Malaysian government towards using bar codes more consistently in manufacturing persuaded us to search for a suitable partnership that will enable us to dominate this market.

Currently, factory automation, as well as the demand for variable information has led us to delve in state-of-the-art, high-speed laser marking and thermal ribbon printing systems.
